CONKER BRIDLE (CONKER BROWN)
LONDON TAN BRIDLE (YELLOW)
DEEP SEA TEAL
Hand-stitched in the traditions of English Saddlery, using what is often referred to as double-handed or saddle-stitching. This traditional saddlery style method of stitching has greater integrity than machine stitching. We create these bangles in a similar way to the way a Saddler makes a running loop for a horse’s bridle except that these bangles have only one row of stitching.
No sewing machines are involved in this process, all stitching is done entirely by hand.
Choose which colour your Bangle is stitched in from a myriad of jewel-like tones.
Follow the traditions of Saddlery, and match your stitching to your leather colour.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OUR THREADS ARE LINEN.
NONE OF OUR THREADS ARE METALLIC OR POLYESTER.
WITH AN EDGE CREASE = A MORE TRADITIONAL LOOK
WITHOUT AN EDGE CREASE = A MORE CONTEMPORARY LOOK

Edge Creasing is traditionally done in Saddlery to compress the leather and improve the durability of the item.
This item is cut out entirely by hand without the use of a press and instead using a traditional Saddler’s Knife.
As this is veg-tanned leather, the edges of this Bangle are polished to a high shine by hand. We do not need to coat the raw edges in plastic as is necessary with Chrome tanned leather.
Corners are nicked to prevent unsightly folding and bending and edges are bevelled to remove sharp edges created when cutting the item out by hand. A Saddler works in the same way to ensure equine comfort and therefore the safety of horse and rider. Following this ethos creates an item, which is not only comfortable to use but a joy to handle.
